Lullabies and Chaos believes that every mother deserves support, especially during one of the most transformative times of her life. Their mission is to raise funds and resources to host surprise baby showers for mothers in need, offering them not just essentials, but a moment of joy, celebration, and community. Through these events, they aim to lighten the burden and bring happiness to families who are often overlooked.
Client Brief
Lullabies and Chaos approached us with the goal of validating their organization as a credible and impactful nonprofit with a mission worth supporting. The project needed to clearly showcase the impact of surprise baby showers for mothers in need. Additionally, it was crucial to emphasize how supporters could get involved, whether through donations, volunteering, or spreading awareness. Our task was to create a message that not only told their story but inspired confidence and action from potential donors and volunteers.
Headwinds and Challenges
This project presented several challenges. We had limited time to capture the essence of these emotional events and faced the difficulty of telling the broader story of how a surprise baby shower goes beyond just gifts, impacting the lives of mothers and their families in meaningful ways. Furthermore, due to the personal nature of the events, gathering intimate, authentic footage was a challenge, as we needed to respect the privacy and emotional vulnerability of the mothers involved. Additionally, budget constraints required us to maximize impact while using existing resources efficiently.
Our Strategy
To balance the client’s preference for minimal screen time, the video was structured around a professional audio recording explaining the mission and ways to get involved. The visuals combined stock footage aligned with the script for cinematic quality and client-provided b-roll, presented in a more candid, stylized way to capture the surprise and personal nature of the baby showers. This approach created a cohesive and engaging piece that educates, validates and inspires future donors and volunteers.
